About Me

Hello, there. I'm so happy you're here. My name is Amaris Harsin and I would consider myself to be a curious explorer of sorts. Ever since I can remember I've always wondered about things, and people, in the very best ways, of course. I guess you could say I've been practicing different ways to see the world and understand how things are for quite some time. I absolutely love stories and I love nature. One can learn an awful lot from reading stories and spending time outdoors.

My husband, Rex, and I have been married for 11 years and have 4 beautiful children together. We met in a gas station May 1, became engaged June 10, and were married August 10. How's that for not wasting any time? Rex is my very best friend and co-worker. He's also an extremely talented musician and filmmaker. You can check out some of his films on his personal page (Rex Harsin Films) and catch him playing with his band (Sasquatch Training Ground) at the Blue Canoe in Tupelo every other month or so. It's the best privilege to share this life with my husband, and I'm looking forward to seeing what all God has in store for us while we're here.

When I'm not homeschooling our kiddos, running them around town, teaching yoga, or brushing up on my jiu-jitsu, I very much enjoy making time to take pictures. I enjoy seeing things; and I enjoy seeing people. It's vulnerable work to be sure; and it teaches me a good deal. I hope to continue to do good work taking pictures. I hope to continue to do justice in the business of seeing. I hope to have the privilege to work with you to tell good stories, to tell your story, whatever it may be.
